After YEARS of watching, waiting, and countless hours watching Bubby play sports...its Paxton's turn to play!!! Paxton had his first t-ball game this week. He was very excited to play but tried really hard not to show his excitement. We started with a little skills practice (pitch and catch) before the game. There were a couple tears there... I was hoping this wasn't a bad omen of things to come. Kelly informed Paxton that there is no crying in baseball unless you get hurt. I am proud to say that the game went great and there were no tears.
Off to the field we go!
Pre-game warm up!
Excited for batting!
Those dang stirrups!
We need to work on form and what to do after we hit.
Wasn't quite sure what to do with that bat.
After batting, he seemed to gain a little more confidence and really started to hustle after the ball. He is really funny because he marks an X into the dirt where the coach tells him to stand and he goes straight back there after the play. He is such a literal rule follower.
He did a great job at his game. Mommy, Daddy, and Bubby were very proud of him. He played very hard!
Snow cone for a job well done!
